Amy graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1990 with a BS in Physical Therapy and MHS from MUSC in 2002. Amy currently owns Acker Physical Therapy and has 27 years of experience working primarily with patients who have suffered from a stroke or brain injury. She also works with private patients. Her past experiences include home health, inpatient rehab and adjunct professor at USC DPT Program. Amy began her training with Waleed Al-Oboudi in 1996. She became a Neuro-IFRAH Instructor® in 2004 and has taught Neuro-IFRAH® courses nationwide.
Jeremy graduated from Midlands Technical College in 2009 with an Associate’s Degree in the Physical Therapy Assistant program. He then received a BS in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina in 2014. His past experiences include 8 years in inpatient and outpatient rehab. He is also owner of Train Station Athletics in Columbia, SC.
Karen graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with a BS in Occupational Therapy in 1989, she was trained in NDT in Adult Hemiplegia in 1997. Karen has 31 years of experience in rehabilitation in inpatient, outpatient and home health settings, ages ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Carrie graduated from Clemson University in 2009 with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Life Sciences. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy from MUSC in 2012. Her past experiences include inpatient rehabilitation at Greenwood Regional Rehabilitation Hospital and HealthSouth-UVA as well as 8+ years in outpatient physical therapy. She is licensed in dry needling, a certified LSVT BIG instructor, and loves treating a variety of patients.
Betsy graduated from Brown University in 1980 with a degree in Human Biology, and from Duke University in 1982 with a master’s degree in physical therapy. She has over 38 years of experience working in a variety of settings including acute care, outpatient and inpatient rehab, home health and long-term care. Since 1992, she has specialized in the treatment of vestibular and balance disorders.
Hannah graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Exercises, Sports and Health Sciences. She then graduated from South Carolina State University in 2015 with a masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology. Hannah has experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings as well as acute care ranging from birth to geriatric and specializes in dysphagia and cognitive communication disorders. She is MBSs certified and has achieved the ASHA ACE award.
Holly graduated from the University of Memphis with a BS with a double major in Biology and Chemistry in 1992. She later graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 1994 with a BS in Physical Therapy. Holly has experience in rehabilitation in both outpatient and inpatient settings ranging in age from birth to geriatric with a wide variety of patient diagnoses. She is certified in NDT and LSVT Big.
Katie graduated from Midlands Technical College in 2019. Her past experiences include 3 years of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. She is most experienced in manual techniques used within treatment sessions.
