
Amy graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1990 with a BS in Physical Therapy and MHS from MUSC in 2002. Currently, she owns Acker Physical Therapy and has 27 years of experience primarily focusing on patients who have suffered from a stroke or brain injury. In addition to her work with private patients, her past experience includes home health, inpatient rehab, and serving as an adjunct professor at the USC DPT Program. Amy began her training with Waleed Al-Oboudi in 1996 and became a Neuro-IFRAH Instructor® in 2004, teaching Neuro-IFRAH® courses nationwide. Her expertise aligns with the principles of embler physical therapy, enhancing her ability to provide comprehensive care.

Jeremy graduated from Midlands Technical College in 2009 with an Associate’s Degree in the Physical Therapy Assistant program. He then received a BS in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina in 2014. With 16 years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient rehab, Jeremy has developed a strong foundation in emble physical therapy.

Karen graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with a BS in Occupational Therapy in 1989. She received training in NDT for Adult Hemiplegia in 1997. With 31 years of experience in rehabilitation across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home health, she has worked with a diverse age range from pediatrics to geriatrics, including her involvement with Emblar Physical Therapy.

Carrie graduated from Clemson University in 2009 with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Life Sciences. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy from MUSC in 2012. Her past experiences include inpatient rehabilitation at Greenwood Regional Rehabilitation Hospital and HealthSouth-UVA, as well as over 8 years in outpatient physical therapy. Carrie is passionate about her work at Emblar Physical Therapy, where she is licensed in dry needling, a certified LSVT BIG instructor, and enjoys treating a variety of patients.

Betsy graduated from Brown University in 1980 with a degree in Human Biology, and from Duke University in 1982 with a master’s degree in physical therapy. With over 38 years of experience, she has worked in a variety of settings including acute care, outpatient and inpatient rehab, home health, and long-term care. Since 1992, she has specialized in the treatment of vestibular and balance disorders, providing expert care at Embler Physical Therapy.

Hannah graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Exercises, Sports and Health Sciences. She then obtained her master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology from South Carolina State University in 2015. With experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as acute care from birth to geriatric, Hannah specializes in dysphagia and cognitive communication disorders. She is MBSs certified and has received the ASHA ACE award. Hannah also collaborates with Embler Physical Therapy to enhance treatment outcomes for her patients.

Holly graduated from the University of Memphis with a BS with a double major in Biology and Chemistry in 1992. She later graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 1994 with a BS in Physical Therapy. Holly has experience in rehabilitation, including embler physical therapy, in both outpatient and inpatient settings, ranging in age from birth to geriatric with a wide variety of patient diagnoses. She is certified in NDT and LSVT Big.

Katie graduated from Midlands Technical College in 2019. Her past experiences include 3 years of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, where she developed expertise in emble physical therapy. She is most experienced in manual techniques used within treatment sessions.

Rhonda is a dedicated and highly skilled physical therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, specializing in the treatment of vestibular and balance disorders at Embler Physical Therapy. She has undergone extensive training, including the Emory University Vestibular Competency Course and the Advanced Vestibular Therapy Course at the University of Pittsburgh, solidifying her expertise in the field.
With years of experience, Rhonda has developed a deep passion for improving the lives of individuals struggling with dizziness and imbalance. Her approach at Embler Physical Therapy combines evidence-based techniques with compassionate care, ensuring her patients achieve optimal outcomes and regain their confidence and independence.

Jessica graduated from the University of South Carolina-Aiken with a B.A. in fine arts and then from the Medical College of Georgia with a Masters in Occupational Therapy and Health Sciences in 2008. With 17 years of experience primarily focused on adults, she has developed a strong commitment to her patients. At Embler Physical Therapy, her passion lies in helping individuals regain their independence in various settings.

Tracie is our front office manager at Embler Physical Therapy. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a master's in International Studies. A South Carolina native, she has extensive experience working in local government and has more recently focused on Medicare insurance and customer service.
